Swim School

LANE 1 Coaching Ltd was founded in 2007 by myself Ken Hardy.  Previously working as a European Sales and Marketing Director with Dometic, formally Electrolux, I decided to leave the “Rat Race” to set up my own coaching company. LANE 1 Coaching Ltd has more than 30 years of swimming experience and is now proud to announce that it will be working in association with the Woodlands School as from Jan 2012

Whilst still remaining a small personal company LANE 1 has grown in strength and reputation to become a company which supplies coaches into over 60 schools within Derbyshire offering a multitude of sports.

Working as a coach assessor Ken Hardy the MD of LANE 1 has been heavily involved with Derbyshire Sport, Borough Councils and a number of other coaching companies, ensuring that coaches in Derbyshire work to the highest standards possible which in turn ensure safety, inclusion and above all fun for all involved.

The LANE 1 Swim School will be working very closely with Woodlands School ensuring that classes are also of the same high standards. LANE 1 will continue to work along side the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) and it’s National Teaching Plan and will also guarantee that all of its teachers hold a minimum Level 2 qualification, are members of the institute of swimming, are lifeguard qualified, and importantly CRB checked.

Swimming is an important life skill and should be available to all, with this in mind we will offer swimming lessons for all abilities guaranteeing that all stages of the swimmers development is achieved to the highest level. As a young aquatics tutor and mentor to several competitive swimmers Ken and LANE 1 can also offer long term development for any swimmer who wishes to continue down this pathway.
